New Conditional Logic for All HubSpot CRM Cards
If you've spent any time customizing CRM record layouts in HubSpot, you know how helpful it is to tailor what each team sees. HubSpot just quietly released an update that makes this even more powerful: you can now apply conditional logic to any card on the record layout - not just the sidebar.
What Changed?
Previously, conditional logic only worked on the left-hand sidebar. With this update, you can apply visibility rules to cards anywhere in the record layout - including the main body and tabbed sections.
Why It Matters
This gives you a much more flexible and scalable way to present data to your team. Here are a few examples:
Show a "Platform Engagement" card with product usage details only when a contact is a customer
Display "Discovery Details" only for leads in early lifecycle stages
Hide billing-related information unless a deal is marked as Closed Won
No more cluttering every record with cards that aren’t always relevant. With this update, layouts can adapt based on the context - helping reps focus only on what matters.
How to Use It
Head to your record customization settings: Settings → Objects → [Object] → Record Customization
Click into any card on the layout, and scroll to the new “Conditional Logic” section. From there, you can define simple rules based on property values to control card visibility.
Final Thoughts
This update might not make headlines, but it’s a meaningful quality-of-life improvement for anyone building out custom views. It makes your CRM cleaner, smarter, and more aligned with how your teams work.
Worth a try if you haven’t explored it yet.
